The Red Panda Network is excited to announce that Vivian Lane has won the science fair at Riverside Elementary School where she presented her very own Red Panda Project! Vivian visited 8 zoos to prepare for the competition, studying how different zoos take care of their red pandas. She then compiled this information and presented it along with a miniature red panda habitat. Vivian will next be competing in her local county science fair and plans to visit two more zoos before this next phase of the competition that will take place the week of February 24th, 2014!
Vivianis a part of the Red Panda Ranger Program and is currently a top level ranger at level 5. The Red Panda Ranger Program is open to all children who are interested in spreading the word about red pandas and is free to join. There are 5 levels to the ranger program that are achieved by completing tasks and “climbing” mountains. From everyone here at the Red Panda Network, we want to wish Vivian the best of luck in the next phase of her competition. Thank you, Vivian, for your dedication to red pandas and we can’t wait to hear more about your projects in the future!
