Coolest No-Cost Supporter Action of The Month: Awareness Slideshow Breaks Record View Numbers
How’s this for a nice surprise when opening my inbox, excitedly almost spilling breakfast: A wave of new memberships, fascinating comments, red panda adoptions and donations came flooding in over night.
We don’t have an award (yet) for the Coolest No-Cost Supporter Action of The Month — but we probably should; this one would hands-down take the cake this month:
A web-gallery of 12 images with comments on the webplatform imgur.com racked up over 14,000 page views in less than 24 hours and over 40,000 in 2 days (the top 16 most viral images of the day), and keeps creating awareness (and donations) for red panda conservation in a beautiful way.
See some images from this OC (Original Content in the lingo of the imgur community) below, or click -> here to view the complete OC on imgur.com: “Passionate for Red Pandas”.
Feel free to join imgur and give this OC your ‘upvote’.
Thank you hellkitten!

RPN’s work endorsed and featured by the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums – WAZA
The November 2012 newsletter of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) published an article by RPN’s CEO Dirk Kloss about our conservation Project ‘Punde Kundo’ (Red Panda) in Nepal.
WAZA endorsed Red Panda Network in June 2012 as a “Partner of WAZA” and features our project ‘Punde Kundo’ on the WAZA website. Since June we proudly display the WAZA Endorsement on RPN’s ‘Partners and Sponsors‘ page.

Beau King – my red panda hero
We got this awesome email from Rodney King. Yes, that is his real name. When I saw his email I thought it was a fake email, but after opening and reading it I was not only surprised, but inspired by his son, Beau’s, beautiful face.
Beau asked his dad Rodney to send this to me. Could I have a better job in the world that to get photos of beautiful children like Beau.
Beau goes to a weekly class at the Birmingham Zoo. This photo was taken after a class that highlighted Red Pandas. On the day that he went there was a classroom lesson, a trip inside the zoo to look at the red panda and the zookeeper gave even more info on the 2 red pandas at the zoo.
Beau asked his dad to send me this photo.
Beau you are my Red Panda Hero…Thanks for the inspiration.
